Czech parliamentarian: The European Union seeks to destroy the independence of its small countries

Prague (ST): Czech Member of Parliament Tomeo Okamura has called again on his country to withdraw from the European Union, stating that Brussels wants to destroy the independence of European states.

He wrote on his website: The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called for the abolition of the principle of unanimous adoption of decisions in the Union and its replacement with the principle of the majority, especially in some core issues such as defense and health, considering that doing so would make the large countries crush the small countries in the Union and force them to do what they don’t want.

He renewed the call for the adoption of a law in Parliament providing for the possibility of organizing referendums, including the organization of a referendum on withdrawal from the European Union.
