Czech official calls on international community to find a solution to the situation in the Middle East

Prague, (ST) – Former Czech Prime Minister Jerzy Paroubek called on the international community to shoulder its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and exert greater pressure to find a comprehensive solution in the Middle East, in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

In an article published on the Czech website “Qaditkum”, Paroubek criticized his country’s position that hindered the European Union’s adoption of the call for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He noted  that this position harms Czech national interests.

Paroubek warned against the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East.

He indicated that  this situation in the Middle East must be ended through peaceful negotiations.
