Czech MP calls for holding Washington accountable for its crimes in Iraq and Syria

Member of the European Parliament, Leader of the Communist Party of the Czech and Moravia, Kateřina Konečná, has called for establishing a special court concerned in the crimes perpetrated by the United States in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen and other countries.

In a TV statement posted on her website on Saturday, Konečná reiterated the need to implement the principles of the international law and the UN Charter and other binding documents and to apply the general principles of justice with the aim of punishing violators of these principles.

The European MP recalled the American invasion of Iraq which violated the international law, the UN Charter and the Security Council resolutions, pointing out that accusing Iraq of possessing weapons of mass destruction to invade it was an intentional lie that led to the killing of thousands of innocent Iraqis.
