Czech journalist: Sanctions against Russia will bring the European Union to its knees

Czech journalist Ilona Svihlikova warned that hypothetical sanctions against Russian oil that supplies the European Union could cause serious damage to the economies of European countries.

In a column in the Czech online portal “Asubis”, Svihlikova expressed her doubt that Europe could find an alternative to Russian supplies without causing damage, and said: In this case, there will only be debate about whether astronomical oil prices will bring the economy to its knees or whether the economic crisis will be deep so much so that the demand for oil will be reduced.
