Czech FM: The West Harvesting “Bitter Fruits” of Its Policy in Iraq

PRAGUE-Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek has stressed that the West is harvesting the bitter fruits of its policy in Iraq.

In an article published by the Czech “Bravo” newspaper on Tuesday, Zaoralek said that Daesh terrorist organization consists of groups of criminals and it poses a big challenge to the entire world.

The minister said that the United States and the European countries should specify what they want to achieve before pushing their military forces into the Middle East, pointing out that “after the West’s experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq, it mustn’t ignore countries’ sovereignty or local traditions.”

The Czech top diplomat asserted that his country is actively contributing to fighting “Daesh” through direct bombardment of its terrorists, through specifying a strategy to hinder the financial sources provided to this terrorist organization and through intelligence cooperation and humanitarian aid.

Zaoralek reiterated that the current situation has become closely connected to the security of the citizens of the European countries, so “we mustn’t allow the terrorists and extremists to disturb our normal life or feed hatred among us.”

Earlier, the Czech former Prime Minister “Berji Parobek” has stressed that the funding provided by NATO and its allies to Daesh terrorist organization to create a pretext to launch air strikes against its terrorists is “real stupidity”.
