Czech communist youth union denounces Western interventions in Syria

Prague (ST): The Central Council of the Czech Communist Youth Union confirmed today that the interventions of the West in Syria, Iraq and Libya led to the destruction of the infrastructure in these countries and the displacement of their people.

The Council said in a statement: “Western interventions in Syria, Iraq, and Libya, and provoking wars in them and other countries, have led to the killing of tens of thousands, the destruction of infrastructure, and the compelling of many people to leave their homes and lands.”

It added that the defeat suffered by the West in Afghanistan represents a failure of all the illegal intervention operations it carried out during the past years in Syria and elsewhere.

The Council called on the democratic and progressive forces in the Czech Republic to work to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization “NATO” because it implicates the country in the dangerous military and security escalation carried out by the alliance in Europe and the world.
