Damascus (ST): The Ministry of Culture affirmed readiness to offer all facilitations required to open the Venezuelan Cultural Centre in Damascus within the framework of the Venezuelan Cultural Week scheduled to be held on September 20.
During her meeting with the Venezuelan ambassador in Damascus Jose Gegror Biomorji , Assistant Minister of Culture engineer Sana’a al-Shawa welcomed the opening of the Venezuelan Cultural Centre as it is a message from the two peoples telling the whole world that despite difficult circumstances and blockade, they are capable of opening cultural centers, because people with their manners, cultures and genuineness are able to confront challenges and difficulties.
In turn, the Venezuelan ambassador stressed that the Centre would be a beacon to further enhance bilateral relations, noting that the two states have many common denominators. He also said that the centre would contribute to teaching Spanish language to Syrians.
