Cubans Liberated from US Jails Stress Solidarity with Syria, Salute Syrian Army Sacrifices

HAVANA-The Cuban prisoners, recently liberated from the American jails, have saluted the Syrian Arab Army and highly appreciated its sacrifices in the confrontation of the global terrorist war facing Syria.

The released Cubans, who made the remarks during a ceremony held yesterday by the Syrian expatriate businessman in Cuba Nabeel Ahmad to honor and celebrate their release from US jails, stressed their solidarity with the Syrian people.

The Five Cubans were arrested years ago by the United States because of their struggle against terrorism. The U.S. issued arbitrary sentences of life in prison against them. Later, the U.S. released them after it admitted the failure of its unjust economic siege and its unjustified political procedures against Havana.

During the ceremony, the liberated Cubans lifted the Syrian flag and hoped that security and peace will soon prevail in Syria.

On his part, the Syrian expatriate businessman expressed great pleasure for the five Cubans’ release, pointing out that they were imprisoned unjustly for many years.
