Cuban President: Trump’s policy on Havana is rude and inhuman

Havana, (ST) – Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel described the outgoing US President Donald Trump’s policy toward his country as rude and inhuman.

Diaz-Canel said in a tweet that “Trump has tightened the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on his country by imposing more than 200 punitive measures covering various economic sectors in Cuba.”  He stressed that, despite all this, Cuba remains steadfast and will continue to resist and win.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez affirmed that, Trump and his Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo lie when they designate Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism, indicating that they rely on lying to cover up their political failures.

Rodriguez criticized the unfair distribution of Corona virus vaccines, noting that only 10 countries in the world have bought 95 percent of the vaccines produced so far, while the rest of the countries have been neglected and are without vaccines.
