HAVANA, (ST)- Holding the parliamentary elections in Syria proves the strength of the Syrian state’s institutions despite the unfair coercive economic measures imposed on Syria by the United States and its allies, Cuban journalist and political analyst Lionel Nadal has stressed.
In an article under the title “Syria enhances its strength by electing a new parliament”, Nadal said that new practices that reflect a popular will in the country affirm that the defeat of the US occupation in Syria will be soon, pointing out that the Syrian state has spared no effort to guarantee a successful election process.
The Cuban journalist noted that “Syria will press ahead with its battle to liberate its land from terrorism and preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity regardless of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by Washington to impede the country’s reconstruction process.
