HAVANA, Jul.21, (ST)- The Official in charge of African and Middle Eastern affairs at the Cuban Communist Party, Miriam Morales, has reiterated her country’s support for Syria against the terrorist war and its rejection of any intervention in Syria’s internal affairs.
Morales affirmed that her country, people, party and government, has stood by Syria in the face of the unjust war imposed on it since 2011, noting the importance of continuing consultation between the party leaders in the two countries, especially in light of the current circumstances that Syria and Cuba are exposed to, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
Her re marks came during the visit made by the acting Chargé d’Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Havana Ali Abbas to the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party to offer condolences on the demise of Jose Ramo Balaguer, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, former head of the Foreign Relations Department in the Committee.
Morales highly appreciated Syria’s support to Cub and its sincere feelings on the passing away of of Balagher.
For his part, Abbas described relations between the two countries as solid and historic.
