Cuba Reaffirms the One China Principle

Havana (ST): Cuba has expressed its categorical rejection of measures targeting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the People’s Republic of China, which is liable to interfere in its internal affairs.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry expressed concern about the escalation of tensions and the worsening situation around Taiwan, stressing that this situation is a direct result of the aggressive policy and the large military presence of the United States and its allies in the Taiwan Strait and its actions that threaten regional and international peace and security.

Cuba rejected the new disguised provocations of the nature of official contacts or high-level visits, warning that these behaviors cause deliberate additional risks, and reiterated its strict adherence to the principle of “one China” and recognition of Taiwan as an integral part of the territory of this country.
