Cuba: Humanitarian Situation in Occupied Syrian Golan Can Only be Improved Through Zionist Occupation’s Withdrawal

GENEVA, (ST)- Cuba has stressed that the only possible solution to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the occupied Syrian Golan is the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from it in implementation of relevant UN General Assembly and Security Council resolutions.

Cuba’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations in Geneva Anayansi Rodriguez Camejo said in her statement during the 22nd session of the UN Human Rights Council that the Zionist entity continues to persist in violating the rights of the Syrians in the occupied Syrian Golan.

She urged the UN human Rights Council to shoulder it responsibility and adopt deterrent action against the government of the Israeli occupation which ignores international resolutions.

Rodriguez denounced Israel’s continuous escaping of punishment despite the fact that it keeps violating the international humanitarian laws in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories, stressing the need to reach a just, peaceful and lasting solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The Cuban diplomat condemned the arbitrary and racist restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation on the Palestinians’ movement in occupied al-Quds and lashed out at the occupation’s siege on Gaza Strip, its continuity of building the racist segregation wall and its policy of displacing the Palestinian families.
