Cuba calls on the Security Council to put an end to the attacks of Israeli entity

Cuba expressed its deep concern about the current events in the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing that this escalation is the result of 75 years of permanent violation of the rights of the Palestinian people, and the aggressive and expansionist policy carried out by the Israeli entity.

In a statement to its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cuba called on the Security Council to fulfill its obligations to put an end to the impunity of Israel,  noting that the historical complicity of the United States of America with Israel through  repeatedly obstructing the work of the Council, undermines  peace and security in the Middle East region

The statement  called for a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue, based on the establishment of a Palestinian state, allowing the Palestinian people to exercise their right of self-determination and establish an independent, sovereign state within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Cuba also called for peace and the search for a solution through negotiations to avoid further escalation.
