Cuba’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Ana Teresita González has called for boosting trade relations between her country and Syria.
González made the remarks during her visit to the Syrian pavilion in the 38th Havana International Fair which opened on November 15th.
She admired the Syrian pavilion and stressed the importance of the national investment map it showcases, calling on all the Syrian companies and investors to take part in the next Havana International Fair in order to booming the economic relations to the level of the distinguished political relations between the two countries.
The Syrian pavilion in Havana fair witnessed a notable turnout by visitors who admired Syria’s history and culture and who expressed their solidarity with the Syrians against the war and the coercive measures targeting their country.
The Havana International Fair kicked off last Monday with the participation of 62 countries, including Syria. Hundreds of foreign and Cuban companies specialize in different fields, including healthcare, food industries, electronics and building also took part in the event which concluded its activities yesterday.
The Fair aims at increasing foreign investment, promoting trade links between Cuba and the rest of the world and showcasing foreign products and services to Cuba’s business community.
