Cuba welcomed the decision of the Arab foreign ministers to resume Syria’s participation in the meetings and activities of the Arab League Council.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez tweeted: “We welcome this decision, and we congratulate the Syrian people and their government for the step to re-achieve full regional integration.”
For its part, the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Caracas welcomes this decision, stressing that it is in the interest of peace and stability in the region.
The ministry added in a statement: “The Bolivarian people and government congratulate to Syria and the members of the League of Arab States and hope that this decision will contribute to the well-being of Arab countries, and prove that dialogue is the only correct way to build a world of peace.”
