Cuba and Russia reiterate their rejection of external interference in the affairs of sovereign states

Havana,(ST)-  Spokesman of  the Russian Security Council Yevgeny Anoshin, told reporters in Havana that the Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev discussed during his consultations in Cuba  the issues of cooperation between Moscow and Havana in the international arena and in the field of security and confronting external interference in the affairs of sovereign states.

“Color revolutions remain the main instrument for the West to interfere in the affairs of other countries.

Moreover, the ways in which they are implemented are constantly evolving, the thing which requires a continuous modernization of countermeasures,” Anoshin said.
During the meetings, the two sides discussed the role of the two countries in the international arena, as well as exchanging views on the situation in Latin America as a whole and Russian-Cuban cooperation on combating terrorism, organized crime, extremism and drug trafficking, Anoshin added.
Patrushev is on a two-day visit to Cuba for security consultations with Cuban authorities.
