Crowds of Syrian citizens continue flocking to cast their votes at Syrian Embassy in Beirut

With remarkable intensity, Syrian citizens residing in Lebanon headed this morning to the headquarters of the Syrian Embassy in Beirut to vote in the elections for the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic and exercise their constitutional right and their national duty.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Beirut, the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdulkarim, stated that the members of the Syrian community in Lebanon began this morning to arrive at the embassy to cast their votes in the presidential elections, as it is a constitutional right and duty.

 

Ambassador Abdulkarim pointed to the large numberof the Syrian voters in Beirut and the high-level coordination to receive the large numbers of Syrians residing in Lebanon.

Ambassador Abdulkarim considered that the arrival of dozens of Syrians since early morning to vote in presidential elections sends a message of love from the community’s members to their country and a message to the world that the unjust siege on Syria should be lifted and to some countries to reconsider their mistakes towards a country that has the most beautiful form of coexistence in the East and perhaps in the world.

A number of Syrian citizens residing in Lebanon emphasized the exercise of their constitutional right and their patriotic duty, which is crowned with the victories of Syria in the face of the plots it was subjected to, expressing their desire to return to their homeland and contribute to the reconstruction of what has been destroyed by terrorism.
