COVID -19 pandemic has already claimed almost 240,000 lives worldwide, with at least 3,400,000 confirmed cases in total. However, at least one million people have also recovered from the disease.

The United States currently tops the list of nations most affected by the virus, with at least 1,100,000 infected and around 65,000 fatalities.

In Europe, Spain and Italy are reporting the highest numbers. Authorities in some countries, including the United Kingdom have stated that the peak of the outbreak has been reached, with many nations announcing they will soon lift restrictive measures, according to Sputnik news.

 In Russia, the number of the infected spikes to 124,054. Surge in the Number of infected in Moscow is due to widespread testing of citizens, Response Centre States.

In Spain, Coronavirus tally raised to 216,582 and death toll reached 25,100 while in France the tally is more than 167,300 and death toll reached 245,94.

According to France Press, the number of COVID-19 infections in Europe reached more than 1.5 million.

In the Middle East, 6791 deaths were reported because of COVID-19, while infections reached  176, 715. In Africa, 1645 coronavirus patients died out of 396,68 infected persons.
