Counter-Terrorism Operation in Syria Nearing Completion: Shoigu

Occupied al-Quds, (ST)- Russian Defense Minister, General Sergey Shoigu, has announced that the counter-terrorism operation in Syria is nearing completion.

During his meeting with the Israeli War Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Monday, Shoigu said “the counter-terrorism operation in Syria is nearing completion so some issues should be tackled immediately,” according to the Syrian News Agency SANA.

Shoigu added that “terrorist activities in the world have been growing, so the global community needs to close ranks to fight against this scourge”.

The Syrian Arab army in cooperation with allied and supporting forces continues its operations against ISIS terrorist organization, achieving major gains in the Syrian badia area and the eastern region despite attempts by the US-led coalition to hinder the army’s progress.

The Zionist occupation entity provides all forms of support for the terrorist organizations in Syria, particularly in the southern region, by supplying them with weapons and providing logistic support and medical treatment.
