Cotton crop harvest operations are over in Hasaka

The farmers of Al -Hasaka Governorate ended harvesting of cotton crops in various regions of the governorate, which started early last month.

The Head of the Department of Plant Production in the Directorate, Eng. Jalal Bilal, said in a statement that the farmers of the northern regions of the governorate recently ended the harvesting of cotton crops for over 6135 hectares.

He expects the production of approximately 21,472 tons of the total planted areas with cotton.

In a related context, Eng. Bilal pointed out that the farmers in the governorate started the necessary preparations for the cultivation of wheat and barley crops, through the cultivation of lands and securing seeds to start agriculture during the coming period.
