Coronavirus kills more than one million and 262 thousand people around the world

Capitals, (ST)  – The Coronavirus has killed a million and 262,168 people around the world since its appearance last December, according to the American Worldo meters website.

Over the past 10 months, the virus has taken more lives than H.I.V, malaria, influenza and cholera. And as it sows destruction in daily life around the globe, it is still growing quickly.

According to the site, the total number of coronavirus infections around the world has so far reached fifty million and 740,558 cases, while the total cases of recovery from the disease have reached 35 million and 796914 people.

In Mexico, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday that 5,887 infections and 219 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total official number of cases to 967,825 and deaths to 9, 5027.

In Germany, data from the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases showed that the number of coronavirus cases rose to 671,868 cases after 13,363 new infections were recorded, while the total number of deaths rose to 11,352 after 63 deaths were recorded.

In China, the National Health Committee announced the registration of 33 new infections on the mainland, including one local case and the rest from abroad, bringing the total number of infections to 86,245 cases, while the number of deaths remains unchanged at 4,634.


South Korea recorded 126 new infections for the second day in a row, which raises the number of infections to 27,553 infections, while two deaths were confirmed, which raises the deaths to 480 cases.
