Coronavirus deaths exceed 808 thousand cases in the world

Capitals, (ST) -The coronavirus COVID-19 has killed more than 808 thousand people around the world since its appearance last December.

The Worldo Meter website, which tracks the developments of the virus around the world, stated that 808,783 deaths were recorded, while infections reached 23390690, and 15912888 people recovered.

In Mexico, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 644 deaths and 6,482 confirmed new infections, bringing the total number of infections to 556,216 cases, while the number of deaths reached 60,254 cases.

Latin America has become one of the largest hotspots of the Coronavirus in the world in recent months, as the number of infections has exceeded 5 million.

In Germany, data from the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases showed an increase in the number of infections by 782 to 232864 in total, and deaths increased by two, bringing the total to 9269.

In Australia, the health authorities announced 17 new deaths from the virus, all in the state of Victoria, in addition to 208 new infections, but they indicated that the infection within the state is taking a downward trend, while Australia generally recorded about 24,500 cases and 502 deaths in total.

In China, the National Health Commission announced the registration of 12 infections from abroad yesterday, while the Chinese mainland had not recorded any local injuries.

The total confirmed cases of Covid 19 on the mainland reached 84,951 cases as of yesterday, including 422 patients who are still receiving medical treatment.

In India, the total number of infections exceeded three million, reaching 304,940 cases, according to the latest data issued by the Federal Ministry of Health, and the total deaths due to the epidemic in the country rose to 56,706.

In South Korea, the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced the highest daily increase in cases of Coronavirus infection since early March, with 397 new infections recorded as of midnight yesterday, up from 332 the previous day, in continuation to record daily increases in the hundreds to more From a week ago.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 17,399 infections and 309 deaths.
