Corona infections in the world exceed 51 million and 259 thousand

Capitals, (ST) – The Coronavirus has killed one million 269,571 people around the world since the outbreak of the pandemic began last December, according to the Worldo meter website.

The site, added that the total number of coronavirus infections around the world has so far reached 51 million and 259771 cases, while the number of people who have recovered from the disease has reached 36 million and 66124 people.

In Mexico, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday that 4,960 infections and 198 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 972,785 and deaths to 95,225 cases, while health officials are likely to have the true number of infections and deaths much higher.

In China, the National Health Committee announced in a statement today that 22 new infections have been recorded on the mainland, one of which is local and the rest are imported from abroad, bringing the total number of infections to 86,267 cases, while the number of deaths remains unchanged at 4,634.

In Egypt, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday that 221 new infections and 12 deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 109,422, of whom 100,439 cases recovered, while the death toll reached 6,380.
