Corona infections around the world exceed 40 million and 232 thousand – Deaths exceed one million and 117 thousand

Capitals, (ST)  – The death toll from the new Coronavirus around the world since its appearance last December has exceeded 40 million and 232 thousand people, while the death toll has exceeded one million and 117 thousand people, according to the latest statistics of the Worldometer website.

The site stated that, the total number of Corona infections around the world has so far reached 40,232,665, while the total death toll has reached 1117,640. The total number of recoveries from the virus has reached 30045963.

The United States continues to lead the countries which are the most affected by the virus in terms of infections and deaths, with 224725 deaths out of 8384212 infections, followed by India with 114,629 deaths from 7547762 infections, then Brazil, with 153,905 deaths from 5235344 infections.
