Corona deaths around the world exceed 567 thousand and infections approach to 13 million

The new Corona virus has claimed the lives of more than 567,000 people worldwide since it was announced last December.

The World Meter website, which tracks the latest developments, stated that the total number of coronavirus infections so far worldwide reached 12847288 and deaths reached 567734, while 7483246 people have recovered so far from the disease.

In Germany, the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases reported an increase in the number of confirmed cases of the Corona virus by 248 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 198,804, and an increase in the number of deaths by three cases to 9063 in total.

 

In Brazil, the Ministry of Health announced that there were 1071 new deaths from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths to 71,469 cases, while the total number of infections reached more than one million and 839 thousand confirmed cases.

In Mexico, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 6,094 new infections, 539 deaths, bringing the total to 295,268 and 34,730 deaths.

In Australia, the state of Victoria recorded 273 cases of corona and one death, in a continuous increase for seven days, amid efforts to contain new hotbeds of infection.

The state imposed six-weeks of general isolation measures in its capital, Melbourne, last Thursday after a high number of infections.

In China, the National Health Commission announced seven new confirmed cases of the virus on the Chinese mainland all of them from abroad.
