Coordination of efforts to fight fires and limit their damage in Hama

Hama (ST): The meeting of the Minister of Local Administration and Environment in the caretaker government, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, with officials in Hama governorate focused on rapid response mechanisms to extinguish and prevent fires, reduce their losses, and involve administrative units in efforts to combat them.

Makhlouf asked to prepare a plan to prevent fires and reduce their losses as much as possible by forming emergency teams and central and sub-committees for each sub-district that includes the director of the district, the head of the administrative and guidance unit, and party and civil activities with the aim of forming work shifts around the clock in the forest areas to ensure rapid intervention and emergency response for any fire.

In turn, the Governor of Hama, Engineer Muhammad Tariq Kreishati, stated that two fire monitoring stations have been approved and activated in Masyaf and Al-Ghab, in high locations that allow workers to see and report on fires directly, allowing speed and effectiveness of dealing with them around the clock, as well as allocating the hot and free numbers 188 and 113 for citizens to report about fires.
