BEIRU, (ST) _ The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim has called for coordination between the Syrian and Lebanese armies and the two brotherly countries, to eliminate terrorism and ensure the return of displaced Syrians, back home.
In an interview with the Lebanese NBN TV yesterday, ambassador Abdul Karim noted that certain Lebanese sides facilitated the entry of militants from Lebanon to Syria and vice versa.
Concerning the issue of displaced Syrians in Lebanon, Ambassador Abdul Karim pointed out that the Syrian government is ready to coordinate the displaced issue, adding that accommodation is available for them in Syria, provided with all needed supplies.
Ambassador Abdul Karim also called for bilateral media coordination and not to resort to incitement and fabricate false news, stressing that Syrian-Lebanese coordination serves the interests of Lebanon and the Lebanese people, describing talk about Syria’s unwillingness to receive back displaced Syrians in Lebanon as incorrect.
He indicated that coordination between the two countries is in the interest of Lebanon prior to that of Syria, and that the policy of self-distancing has been negatively reflected on Lebanon in significant losses, including the dissemination of terrorism, stressing that coordination between the Syrian and Lebanese armies undermines terrorists opportunity.
