Coordination between Syria, Lebanon and Resistance Important to Eliminate Terrorism

BEIRUT, (ST)- The Coordination Commission of the Lebanese National Parties and Forces has stressed the importance of coordination between the Syrian and Lebanese armies and resistance as to eliminate the terrorists having positions in the Lebanese-Syrian barrens.

In a statement on Friday, the commission called on the Lebanese government to open official coordination channels with the Syrian government in order to achieve the hoped-for national goal which is of great importance for the security and stability of the two countries.

 Earlier on Friday, the Lebanese army has detained some 350 people, including members of the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group, during raids on camps for displaced Syrians in the northeastern border town of Arsal, according to a Lebanese security source.

The Lebanese troops raided two camps in the area. During the raids, five bombers attacked the soldiers while a sixth militant threw a hand grenade at a patrol. A girl was killed and seven Lebanese soldiers were injured in the terrorist bombings.

The Commission’s statement  said that the operation carried out by the Lebanese army in Arsal area today comes within the framework of preemptive operations to fight terrorists and prevent them from implementing their schemes. It pointing out that these operations go in line with the great efforts being exerted by resistance to save the Lebanese from the danger takfiri terrorism.

The Lebanese army is carrying out a military operation at the Arsal camp for the displaced Syrians in search for terrorists and in order to dismantle the explosive devices planted inside the camps.

Earlier, a girl was killed and seven Lebanese soldiers were injured on Friday in five suicide bombings during a raid by the Lebanese security forces in the area.
