The workshops of the Homs City Council have started cleaning and maintaining several streets in neighborhoods that are still witnessing a gradual return of people and the rebuilding of their homes damaged by terrorism.
Engineer Imad Al-Saleh, director of hygiene in the council, indicated that the cleaning work is carried out in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the neighborhood committees.
He added that the workshops started by cleaning streets, sidewalks and sidewalk basins of weeds, dust and dirt, and the removal of waste and rubble in the neighborhoods of al-Qarabis and Al-Qosor.
He pointed out that the workshops are cleaning and removing weeds and dust from Al-Ahram Streets, Al-Sitteen Highway and Al-Masoudi Street, which connects between Hama Road and Bab Palmyra Square, in addition to Khaled Bin Al-Waleed Street.
He indicated that the workshops, in cooperation with the Environment Directorate in Homs and a number of people, carried out cleaning campaigns in a number of neighborhoods and in the streets surrounding schools.
