Continued Coordination between Syria and Iraq against Terrorism Underscored

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad underscored the need for a genuine international willing as to stand against terrorism and the countries supporting terrorism.

Receiving the visiting Foreign Minister of Iraq, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jafari, H.E. President Al-Assad declared that the successes by the People of Iraq and of Syria and by their Armed forces in confronting the terrorist organizations have contributed to the halting of terrorism expansion.

Consultations and coordination between Syria and Iraq do contribute to the bolstering of the successes against terrorism, President Al-Assad outlined.

 The visiting Iraqi minister asserted that Syria has ever been taking honorable stances by the Iraqi brethrens and so Iraq is keen on standing by the Syrian People and on backing its steadfastness.

Minister Al-Jafari expressed confidence that Syria would emerge of the crisis out and stronger than it was and that the strategic relations binding Syria and Iraq would continue to get developed at all levels.

The standing sisterly relations between Syria and Iraq as well as the terrorist risks facing them , the region and the entire world were dealt with during the meeting.

Assertion was laid on the importance of continued coordination as to stand up to terrorism risks and eliminate terrorism.
