The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of the town of Koya in the Syrian Arab Republic, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent people.
In a statement on the (x) platform, the Ministry said that Saudi Arabia reiterates its categorical rejection of the continued attempts by the Israeli occupation authorities to undermine the security and stability of Syria and the region through their blatant and repeated violations of relevant international laws.
The Ministry added that the Kingdom expresses its solidarity with Syria in the face of this unjustified Israeli aggression and stresses the need for Security Council member states to assume their role, stand firmly and seriously against these ongoing Israeli violations in Syria and the region, and activate international accountability mechanisms.
In the same context, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Kuwait’s position, calling for respecting Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
It also emphasized the importance of the Security Council fulfilling its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and putting an end to the systematic and flagrant violations of the Israeli occupation, which threaten the security and stability of the region.
Moreover, the Muslim World League also condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of the village of Koya in Daraa and expressed its full solidarity with Syria in confronting all threats to its security and stability.
In a statement issued by the League’s General Secretariat, published on its website today, the League’s Secretary General and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, condemned Israel’s barbaric approach and violation of international laws and norms and destabilizing security and stability in Syria and the region.
He called on the international community to take immediate and decisive action against these dangerous violations.
Al-Issa also affirmed full solidarity with Syria and its people against all threats to its security and stability, as well as its territorial sovereignty and unity.
Yesterday, the village of Koya in Daraa Governorate was subjected to artillery and air strikes by the Israeli occupation forces, targeting residential neighborhoods and farms, resulting in the deaths of six civilians and a number of serious injuries.
Raghda Sawas
