Competitions of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in all specializations kick off in different Syrian provinces

The competitions of the new season of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and informatics kicked off on Saturday.

Some 6000 students of the 10^th grade from different Syrian provinces are taking part in these competitions.

Tests of the first stage were conducted on Saturday simultaneously in all provinces with the aim of assessing the students’ logical mathematical thinking.

Top 50 students in every specialization in each province are to be qualified for the second stage, the media advisor at the Distinction and Creativity Agency Malek Hammoud said in a statement to SANA, pointing out that results of this stage will be announced early next month.

Tests of the second stage are due to be conducted on November 20^th, 2021 in different provinces. Winners will reach the final qualifiers due to be held in Damascus during the mid academic year holiday.
