Competent authorities dismantle 2 car bombs in Lattakia

LATTAKIA,(ST)_The competent authorities have defused 2 cars laden with 400 kg of explosives in Lattakia city, a source in the province declared today.

The source clarified that  the 2 cars were seized at the entrance to the city of Lattakia based on accurate information.

 “The cars included 400 kg of explosives plus bomb belt and several bombs,” the source said, adding that the competent authorities apprehended several members of the terrorist group that booby-trapped the cars.

On August 17, terrorist organizations fired rockets from the northern countryside of Lattakia on Lattakia city, killing at least 4 persons and wounding over 14 others.
