Competent authorities defuse car bomb in Homs

HOMS,(ST)_The competent authorities Wednesday defused a car rigged with 100-120kilograms of C4 explosive near al-Bayyada square in Homs city, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency clarified that 100-120kgs of C4 explosive were found inside 3 tanks in a Mercedes car that was ready to be exploded by remote control at the al-Bayyada square in the city of Homs.

Safe quarters in Homs city have sustained repeated attacks by foreign-backed terrorist organizations.

Last October, twin blasts rocked Ekrema quarter where dozens of civilians, mostly schoolchildren, were martyred.

The US, France, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel support terrorist organizations operating in Syria, world media reports confirm.
