Communication and IT Ministry works on improving services in all Syrian governorates

DAMASCUS, Mar.1, (ST)-Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Hussein Al-Masri declared that the ministry works on developing the communications sector, providing services that meet the aspirations of the Syrian citizen, and providing the best types of services in this framework, through communication centers in the southern governorates.

In a statement to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the minister said:: “We are working on improving communications services throughout Syria, whether in terms of expanding the infrastructure or improving the quality of the service provided to citizens.”

He added: “The Syrian people had suffered greatly from the injustice of the defunct regime, and it is a great honor to serve Syria and its people by drawing up plans and policies for building an advanced Syria in the fields of modern technology to enjoy a distinguished international position.”

The minister concluded by saying: “We will use modern technologies that rely on optical fibers to develop the communications sector, to provide advanced communications and internet services that are OK to the Syrian citizen and raise Syria’s global ranking in internet speed .
