Committee of Churches Affairs in Palestine: The Israeli continuous attacks on sanctities are a result of the global silence on the occupation crimes

Occupied Al-Quds (ST): The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine affirmed that the continuous attacks on Palestinian sanctities are a result of the global silence on all crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people, and the lack of a real deterrent action that puts an end to racist Israeli practices.

The Chairman of the Committee, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Ramzi Khoury, condemned, in a statement carried by the Palestinian Wafa Agency, the escalation of repeated settler threats and attacks targeting churches, clergy, and holy places, the most recent of which was the attack by settler gangs, under the protection of the occupation forces, on the St. Elias Church in the city of Haifa in the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948 and their attempt to storm it.

Khoury called on international organizations to put pressure on the occupying entity and take immediate measures to stop the repeated Israeli violations of the sanctity of religious places, protect all Islamic and Christian holy places, and guarantee the right to worship.
