Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian underlined that combat against terrorism is the first priority in Syria, IRNA reported.
ˈThe present priority in Syria is fighting against the (foreign-backed) terrorists,ˈ Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with Advisor to New Zealand’s Prime Minister on Iran’s affairs Teen Webster in Tehran on Monday.
During the meeting, Amir Abdollahian and Webster discussed bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments.
Amir Abdollahian pointed to the crisis in Syria, and said, ˈThe region is currently in a sensitive situation and the Islamic Republic of Iran is closely monitoring Syria’s political developments.ˈ
