Minister of Information, Omran al-Zoubi, struck on the right note, as usual, when he outlined that Saudi Arabia is in a condition of confusion and total paralysis, given the fact that is has been since the eighties as the maker, sponsor and financer of terrorism in the region in general and in Syria in particular.
Minister al-Zoubi cited the clear links between Saudi Arabia and Israel as part of a close ring stretching from Tel Aviv to Riyadh, Doha and other Gulf countries.
The failure of the terrorist groups in Syria, the advancement of the Syrian Arab Army in all Syrian regions and the positive progress of Iran’s negotiations with the 5 plus one group have caused panic for some entities in the region like Saudi Arabia and Israel, underscored the minister.
Minister al-Zoubi pointed out that countries like France, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and some Gulf countries obstruct the convening of Geneva 2 as to enable terrorists to score gains on the Syrian ground in execution for their sinister scheme as to eliminate the Resistance.
The Minister of Information renewed Syria’s willingness to attend with no prior conditions Geneva 2, worked on and for by Russia and the USA, citing the divisions among the so-called opposition abroad regarding the proposed Geneva 2 in light to the dictations and orders given by the countries backing such opposition.
Political opposition never includes the armed terrorist groups, underlined Minister al-Zoubi, asserting that Geneva 1 statement asserted the importance of halting violence as well as the responsibility of the government and opposition in combating terrorism.
Minister al-Zoubi added that there are evidence and proofs regarding the penetration of terrorist groups and arms smuggling across the borders with Jordan, calling on the government of Jordan to shoulder its responsibility and control its borders in line with international law rules.
Combating terrorism is a collective responsibility and not only a Syrian responsibility, blasting Turkish government support to terrorism as a partner in international terrorism.
