Colombian President Gustavo Petro denounced the genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation entity against the people of Gaza Strip, calling on the United Nations to hold an extraordinary session to discuss developments.
Petro announced in his account on the X platform today his intention to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is suffering from a harsh siege as a result of the Israeli aggression, calling for the protection of health sector workers.
Petro stressed that methodical attacks on civilians and genocide must be prevented, while the minimum requirements for living in Gaza must be protected.
While the Colombian president also stressed that Colombia “may sever relations with Israel if it is forced to take this step,” calling on Latin American countries to show real solidarity with Colombia in the face of Israeli pressure.
