Collective battle against terrorism, an inevitable priority

The battle against terrorism and extremism requires countries of the region and the international community’s cooperation efforts in this regard to protect the countries of the region and the whole world against the barbarous Wahhabi takfiri terrorism which threatens the security and stability of the whole world.

All sides should unify efforts to work to combat extremism and terrorism which has become a threat to everyone. There is a dire need for concerted efforts by countries and peoples to counter the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism which is threatening everyone in the region.

Some parties are stirring violence and sowing edition in the region’s countries and particularly in Syria and Iraq need to carefully consider their action.  The U.S. and its allies’ schemes in the region, particularly Israel spread and feed terrorism in the region. Israel and the US are the axis around which all conflicts in the region revolve. Some Arab supporters to terrorism are playing an important role in supporting the Takfiris’ activities in Syria, Iraq and the region as a whole. The same terrorists who conduct terrorist operations in Syria are provoking unrest in Iraq. They are rooted in Europe and the US. The US and all supporters of terrorists should know that the repercussions of this unrest, insecurity and the heavy onslaught against innocent people will definitely not be confined to the region, and these terrorists will one day return to Europe and West. The US and its allies should expect terrorist acts in their own countries because terrorist groups, which are currently in the Middle East, have an extremist anti-human mind’ and it is of no matter to them where they are carrying out terrorist operations.

Certain regional countries back terrorists and they have to stop supporting them immediately because they will soon find themselves drawn into such issues and the very same terrorist groups will carry out acts of terror in those countries.

The Turkish government should completely close its borders in the face of the terrorists and must expel them from its land and stop all logistic and financial support for them. The role of Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government ruling Turkey in supporting terrorists is utterly overt, as most of the terrorists enter Syria through Turkey. There is also mass infiltration by terrorists from Jordan to Syria which have become known to everyone, the Jordanian government have to control its borders and not yield to external pressure, especially pressure exerted by Al Saud.  The Saudi regime works overtly and with no shame on pumping more funds and weapons to terrorists in Syria and Iraq, covered by the Israeli intelligence. Saudi-Israeli relations have become public, as they exchange visits and talks and have joint operation rooms in Amman to plan terrorist acts in Syria and other states in the region.

Saudi Arabia tries to appear as differing in opinion with the US while in fact the US is giving it leeway because it wants to inflict as much destruction on the Syrian state as possible.  The idea of Saudi Arabia disagreeing with the US is ridiculous.

While the US doesn’t want Al Qaeda to control Syria, but it wants Syria to be weak and incapable of confronting Israel, and the task of weakening Syria was delegated to Saudi Arabia and other Arab Gulf countries like Kuwait where MPs fund terrorists in Syria with billions of Dinars.

Saudi Arabia is now funding attacks on the Syrian army which once entered Hafr al-Baten area during the invasion of Kuwait to protect the people of Najd and al-Hijaz.

A member of Bahrain’s royal family, who is also a former Guantanamo bay detainee, has reportedly joined the foreign-backed militants operating in Syria. Sheikh Salman Ibrahim Mohamed Ali Al Khalifa was “alienated” from his family following his transfer from Guantanamo to Bahrain in 2005, according to a report published by Bahrain Mirror on December 27, 2013. Sheikh Salman studied at Imam Muhammad Bin Saud University in Riyadh from September 1999 until April 2000, the report said, describing the university as “the capital of Salafi extremism in Saudi Arabia.” Military officials and analysts at the Guantanamo assess that Sheikh Salman has ties to the Taliban and al Qaeda militant groups, according to a leaked threat assessment by Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay dated May 13, 2005. Sheikh Salman is a prince in the Bahraini royal family and “related to the current ruler of Bahrain, through a shared great-grandfather. From Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Salman traveled first to Malaysia and then Egypt, where he decided to join the Taliban group in Afghanistan. According to a Bahraini source in the Guantanamo file, the money was used to give the Bahrain royal unlimited use of a transit house and access to the front line.

All armed groups operating in Syria are terrorist groups regardless of the names they use or the disputes or alliances among themselves, as they are all terrorist organizations when it comes to the Syrian people. This isn’t a political accusation, as their own declarations, statements, videos and behaviour on the ground, with the most recent example being what happened in Adra worker city which was under the control of the so-called “Islamic Front.”

The Syrian state and army are fighting terrorism regardless of the names it hides behind, and everyone who carried weapons, murdered, violated sanctities, damaged infrastructure, caused chaos on the borders, brought in weapon, accepted foreign funding, or received foreign fighters are terrorists in the eyes of the state and people regardless of any other considerations.

All the media attempts to show some groups as “moderate” as opposed to “extremist” groups are part of political work by the US and its regional and Arab allies and intelligence agencies who are trying to say that there’s moderate terrorism and extremist terrorism. The Syrian people will not buy into those attempts. Possessing money and immense wealth doesn’t mean they’re free to spill people’s blood anywhere in the world. It doesn’t mean they’re free to murder and form armed groups.

Syria and Iraq have the right to defend their national security, and the world cannot remain silent indefinitely to the immoral political and security turmoil taking place, regardless of the government or sheikh or emir that commit it.

All countries are compelled not to support terrorism according to the UN Security Council resolution No 1373 which was issued after the events of September 11th in the United States. The priority of the upcoming round of talks on Syria should be combating terrorism and halting financial support and arms supplies to the takfiri terrorist groups through pressuring the countries backing these groups.

The danger posed by the terrorist acts committed by the terrorist groups in Syria is a threat to the region’s security and stability. For this reason, there should be a concerted regional and international effort to fight and uproot terrorism. There is a need for concerted efforts to fight the terrorism which has ravaged Syria and is spreading through the region and jeopardizing its security and stability. Terrorism targeting Syria is expanding and beginning to affect Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, Iraq and most recently the Russian city of Volgograd, which confirms Syria’s warning about the need to confront terrorism.

The Terrorist war hatched against Syria has failed, and despite all the destruction, murder and abduction committed by terrorism, the Syrian people continue to live their lives and the state’s establishments continue to carry out their duties.

The countries supporting the so-called opposition abroad should return to their senses and realize that there can be no solution in Syria except through dialogue. These countries are working day and night to increase chaos and exacerbate the situation in Syria by arming terrorists and providing them with up-to-date weapons to press ahead with their savage and criminal acts against Syrian people and their public and private properties.

The armed terrorist groups and their supporters have attacked the industrial sector being the essential factor for the Syrian national economy, but the industrial sector is gradually overcoming the crisis as the government started activating the production process of the micro projects.

Combating terrorism is a priority, because a political solution cannot be achieved without uprooting terrorism and forcing the countries supporting it to cease funding and arming terrorists. Syria demands that Security Council and international legitimacy resolutions on counter-terrorism be applied in this context. Terrorism has no home and knows no borders. There must be coordination among all countries to combat it. The massacre committed by armed terrorist groups against citizens in Adraa al-Omalia (workers) city in Damascus suburbs will terrify the world when its full reality is exposed. This massacre will urge the whole world to change their viewpoint regarding those who offered weapons and money and provoked for joining armed terrorist groups.

The Western countries’ double standards are crystal clear regarding terrorism and their unjustifiable silence on Adra massacre committed by the armed terrorist groups with no reason or justification. Those who send criminals to Syria, whether they are the USA, France, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia or others are responsible for killing the Syrian people.

Syria informs the UN and the Security Council of the crimes and violations committed by the armed terrorist groups, yet the UN’s role is unfortunately shameful, as some dominant powers on the UN thought that what is taking place in Syria will end like what had happened in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya in days or weeks.

The USA, which claims that it only provides non-lethal weapons to the armed terrorist groups, has actually provided lethal weapons to them. What the humanity has been suffering from for decades of extremism and terrorism that was attached to Islam is the product of intelligence agencies par excellence. The term “Extremist Islam” is not scientific because Islam, like other heavenly religions, rejects it and extremism cannot be associated with a religion because it is an abnormal behaviour that basically contradicts the values of religions and humanity. The western intelligence agencies are working to politicize religion and exploit it to serve their colonialist agendas.

The key objective of any effort to solve the crisis in Syria should focus on fighting terrorism and stemming the influx of terrorists and weapons to Syria. Combating terrorism and a cessation to regional and Western support to terrorism in Syria are the Syrians’ key demand and uppermost priority.

About 75% of terrorists in Syria aren’t of Syrian nationality, and some Syrians sometimes want to turn in their weapons but non-Syrian terrorists threaten to kill them if they do so.
