Coercive measures against Syria will not achieve its goals, says Egyptian parliamentarian

Cairo, (ST) – Egyptian Member of Parliament, Nashwa al-Deeb, condemned the unilateral American and European coercive measures imposed on Syria, stressing that it will not achieve its goals thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian people.

Al-Deeb said in a special statement to the SANA reporter in Cairo that these coercive economic measures were imposed without legal controls and outside international legitimacy for colonial purposes, stressing that the continuation of these measures against Syria is totally rejected by all steadfast forces in the region and the world.

Al-Deeb called on the free Arab peoples and humanitarian and international organizations to press for the lifting of these unjust coercive measures against the steadfast Syrian people.
