Clear Directives from H.E. President Al-Assad

Minister of Information, Omran al-Zoubi, reiterated in Geneva today that the Syrian delegation is in Geneva to defend Syria and Syrians.

Syria has been for about three years to foreign-backed terrorist aggressions by the wahabi al-Qaeda affiliates of more than 83 countries.

”We are determined to make success of the political process and have no intentions to complicate it. We have clear directives from H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad to seriously work as to make success of the political process,” outlined Minister al-Zoubi.

We are here in Geneva with an open-mind, and with an independent, sovereign and free national will and nobody would be allowed to dictate its conditions upon us, be it from a big state, institution or from a regional state, underscored Minister ala-Zoubi.

The dialogue in Damascus is ongoing and we would deepen this dialogue with all the opposition which wasn’t invited to Geneva, declared Minister al-Zoubi.

There is no sense for any process or political step if guns are directed at and swords hover over the citizens’ necks, Minister al-Zoubi added.

According to Syrian TV correspondent to Geneva meeting, positive atmospheres prevailed over the meeting between the Syrian delegation, chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem and the UN Envoy el-Akhdar elibrahimi.

According to the correspondent, Habib Salman, Minister al-Moallem informed elibrahimi that if meetings with the opposition weren’t to be held tomorrow, the Syrian d-Official delegation is to leave Geneva back to Damascus.

The opposition delegation in Geneva represents but a small portion of the opposition abroad with affiliations to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France, US, and some extremist Islamic forces: al-Nusra, Moslem Brotherhood, and Islamic Front.
