Civilians martyred, several injured in new Israeli aggression on military points in Syria’s central region

A number of civilians were martyred and 19 others were injured in an Israeli missile attack that targeted a number of military points in Syria’s central region.

A military source told SANA that “at around 23:20 on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, the Israeli enemy launched a missile attack from the direction of northwest Lebanon, targeting a number of military sites in Syria’s central region. Our air defenses intercepted the missiles and shot down some of them.

The source added that the Israeli aggression led to the martyrdom of 5 people, the injury of 19 others, and material losses.

SANA reporter in Hama said that the Israeli aggression caused damage on Misyaf-Wadi Al-Eyoun highway and that fire erupted in the targeted area.

Director of Misyaf National Hospital Faisal Haidar told SANA that a number of injured civilians arrived at the hospital, noting that 3 of the injured are in a critical condition due to the Israeli aggression on points in Misyaf.

Firefighting teams were working to extinguish the fire while the ambulamces were transferring the injured persons to the hospital.
