Civilians martyred and injured in an Israeli aggression that targeted a residential building in Damascus

Damascus – A number of civilians were martyred and several others were wounded in an Israeli missile attack that targeted a residential building in Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus on Saturday.

A military source said in a statement “at around 10:20 a.m. this morning, the Israeli enemy carried out a missile attack from the direction of occupied Syrian Golan targeting a residential building in Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus.”

“The Syrian air defenses intercepted the missiles and shot down a number of them,” the source added, pointing out that the aggression led to the martyrdom of a number of civilians and the destruction of the targeted building and caused damage to neighboring buildings.

Earlier, a SANA reporter said that Iranian advisors were also martyred in this cowardly attack.

Minister of Local Administration and Environment, head of the Higher Relief Committee, Lamya Shakkour inspected the site that was targeted by the Israeli aggression and followed up on the rescue operations and the rubble removing activites.
