Civilian killed, 12 others injured in terrorist mortar attacks in Damascus and its countryside

DAMASCUS – A civilian was killed and 12 others were injured on Friday after terrorist groups targeted residential areas in Damascus and its countryside with 20 mortar shells.

Terrorists targeted al-Salehia neighborhood in Damascus with a mortar shell, killing a citizen and injuring 4 others, SANA reported.

Earlier, 3 civilians, including an 8-year-old child, were injured and 6 vehicles were damaged by 2 mortar shells that hit al-Qasaa neighborhood.

 

2 citizens were injured and material damage was caused to citizens’ possessions as a result of targeting al-Abassyin area with 6 shells.

5 others shells landed in al-Qasaa neighborhood and the area surrounding al-Sofania Park in Bab Touma neighborhood, causing only material damage to the cars which were parked in the area.

3 citizens were injured when a mortar shell hit al-Mawasim Square in al-Zablatani area.

In al-Fayhaa Sport City, a football playground was damaged when a mortar shell landed in it.

 4 shells hit al-Seil, and Harasta and caused only material damage.
