Citizens in the Syrian province of Hasakah on Wednesday took part in a rally, held on Wednesday in front of the Headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross, to protest against the Turkish occupation’s crime of cutting off drinking water supplies to more than a million people in the province.
The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have stopped pumping drinking water from Allouk station for more than a month with the aim of increasing the pressure on the locals and using the station to serve their malicious schemes in this area.
In a letter delivered to the ICRC representative, the participants condemned of the war crime committed by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries represented in the continuous stopping of water pumping from Allouk station in the countryside of the occupied Ras Ain city to different parts of Hasakah.
They also condemned the international silence over this crime, urging the international organizations to assume their humanitarian and moral responsibilities to stop this crime and help find a solution to resume water pumping the city’s neighborhoods.
