Citizens in Hasakah protest the violations of the US occupation, SDF militia against education

The Syrian city of Hasakah on Wednesday witnessed a demonstration in condemnation of the violations of the US occupation forces and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) militia against education.

The demonstrators carried the Syrian flag as well as placards expressing their rejection of the US occupation and the practices of the SDF militia against the citizens. They condemned the destruction of schools and higher education facilities in Hasakah by the US occupation and the SDF militia which deprived thousands of students from education.

The SDF militia backed by the US occupation intentionally targets the infrastructure of the education sector in Hasakah. It has destroyed and closed several schools and turned them into prisons and military bases.

Recently, the SDF militia systematically demolished some faculties’ buildings, looted their contents, seized the buildings of some faculties and institutes and imposed certain curricula that are consistent with its separatist agenda in some schools.
