Citizens in Hasakah continue to suffer from securing drinking water due to the violations of the Turkish occupation

Drinking water shortage in the city of Hasakah and the residential areas along the water pipeline that extends from the Alouk station, east of the city of Ras al-Ain, to the Al-Hamma station, west of the city of Hasakah, continues as a result of the violations of the Turkish occupation and its acts of cutting off water supplies for the citizens.
The Turkish occupation and its affiliated terrorist groups have been cutting off drinking water from Alouk station, which is the main source of drinking water for about a million citizens in Hasakah, since November 2nd, 2022 to date, which has exacerbated the suffering of the citizens who find difficulties in securing water from other sources such as water tankers and tanks.
The Director General of the Hasakah Water Company, Eng. Mahmoud Okla, indicated the continuation of the efforts of the government and the international organizations operating in Syria to secure drinking water for the people of the city of Hasakah, in the light of the Turkish occupation’s continuous stopping of water supplies from the Alouk water station since the beginning of November last year.
He added that more than 400 water tanks have been installed anx they are filled daily by a number of international organizations and the Syrian Red Crescent branch, under the supervision of the Company to ensure the water quality.
Okla said: “20 water desalination and filtration stations have been installed in the center of the city of Hasaka, operating on a daily basis, to provide safe drinking water.”
The people in the city of al-Hasakah stressed the need to find a solution to the water problem and stop the violations of the Turkish regime against about a million citizens who depend on the Alouk station as their main source of drinking water.
