Christian Whiton: Washington and Britain do not want Ukraine to reach an agreement with Russia

WASHINGTON, Sep.18, (ST)-Christian Whiton, a former official in the US State Department, has declared that the United States and Britain do not want Ukraine to reach an agreement with Russia with the aim of prolonging the Ukrainian crisis and thus weaken Russia.

In an interview with the American Fox Business website, Whiton said : ” “Washington and London object to Ukraine’s acceptance of the Russian offer in order to reach an agreement with it.”

He added that Washington and London consider the Russian special military operation in Ukraine a great opportunity to bleed Russia and no one cares how many people are killed.

Whiton indicated that Ukraine has a basis for giving up part of the territory that is ethnically Russian and its people speak Russian language.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation to protect the Donbass region from the crimes of the Ukrainian regime and its Nazi battalions.
